“Vidaai” in English means “GoodBye”. It is the ceremony when the bride says final goodbye to her friends,relatives and parents. In context to this there is a ritual of throwing rice by brides which has a unique concept behind it . Daughters are considered as the manifestation of Goddess Laxmi. The idea of this ceremony lies in the same thought. When they step out of their home after marriage they throw a handful of rice behind as a reassurance of health,wealth and prosperity for her parents and friends.
